Gua Sha and Cupping

30-minute sessions available on a sliding scale of $20-$50

These two modalities are powerful tools to move stuck qi. Instead of needles, I use cups (in cupping…) or a ceramic spoon in gua sha to encourage the qi to flow. Bodies hurt when qi isn’t flowing. Reasons qi gets stuck include:

  • stress
  • emotional buildup
  • injury
  • muscle fatigue
  • pathogens (like cold or flu; viruses can be helped with gua sha)

In addition to acute injury, weekly cupping sessions help athletes maintain their skill, and regular gua sha treatments are recommended for people of all ages to build immunity and loosen muscles.
